This Trio exists since 2004 en concentrates itself mainly on the playing of own work. In their compostitions you will hear influences of jazz, rock, spiritual music and free jazz. The trio makes a mix of deep songs and free improvisation were the vastness and intimacy of the acoustic sounds move to the foreground.
Every concert is an adventure for the audience as for the three musicians.

Last year the Steven Delannoye Trio won the third price on the finale of the prestigious international jazz contest ‘Jazz Hoeilaart’.

Steven Delannoye (saxophones)
Steven graduated in 2006 at the Lemmens-Institute in Leuven in the jazz-department, where his teachers were Frank Vaganée, Peter Hertmans, Pierre Van Dormael, Dré Pallemaerts and Ron Van Rossum. He was also taught by John Ruocco and Ben Sluijs, and he took workshops with Phil Woods, Dave Liebman, Bob Mintzer, Bill Carrothers, Billy Hart, Tony Malaby, Mark Turner...

Steven is soprano-, alto- and tenorsaxophone player in his own trio and quartet Sammys On The Bowery.
As a sideman he works/ed with DelvitaGroup, Wayne Shorter Tribute, Brussels Jazz Orchestra, Buscemi, Mopti, Peter Hertmans Sextet, Egon, MuchoGusto, Tuesdaynightorchestra, Free Breathing Ensemble, …

He freelances in the young Belgian jazz scene on different occasions in clubs. He is also teacher in the music schools of Tielt, Flanders and Schaarbeek, Brussels.

Yannick Peeters (double bass)
Yannick started out by playing the piano and after a few years she added contra bass and then gradually became more focused on jazz.
She followed lessons in Dworp (Belgium), where she was taught by an Italian contra bassist Riccardo del Fra and later by Stefan Lievestro, Philippe Aerts and Nicolas Thys.
In preparation for her Conservatory studies she followed lessons by Piet Verbist at the Kunsthumaniora in Antwerpen (Belgium). She then studied three more years with Piet at the Conservatory of Antwerpen and was later taught by Gulli Gudmundsson.
Yannick followed numerous workshop by musicians like Gary Peacock, Nicolas Thys, Marc Ducret, Gulli Gudmundsson, Bill Carrothers trio, Rob Madna, David Liebman. She also studied for 4 months at the “Musikhogskolan” in Göteborg (Sweden) where she followed lessons by Anders Jormin. Yannick graduated from the Conservatory of Antwerpen in June 2005.
Yannick has already played with some famous musicians from the Belgian jazz scene, such as Kurt Van Herck, Dre Pallemaerts, Frank Vaganee, Sara Meyer, Bart Van Caenegem and Fre Desmyter.
She plays with Muni and Lijm and her own ‘Yannick Peeters Trio’ features two Swedish musicians: Joel Wästberg on saxophone and Fredrik Hamrå on drums.


Lionel Beuvens (drums)
Lionel Beuvens was born in 1981 in Charleroi. After studying in the music school for classic percussion, he took jazz lessons with Nathalie Loriers and summer camps with jazz legend Billy Hart and Bob Moses. He studied in the conservatories of Brussels (with Garcia Morales ans Pieter Bast), Leuven (with Dré Pallemaerts), and Den Haag (with Eric Ineke).
He plays with Sabin Todorov trio,Dacosse, Alien Bitesize, Steven Delannoye trio, Christian Mendoza trio, Chroma, Nicolas Kummert 4tet, Eve Beuvens trio, Peter Hertmans Quartet, aRtet and formed his own band Grass Monkeys.

Só posso dizer que foi um excelente momento de som. Não havia PA, nem sequer era preciso... o contrabaixo estava um bocado lá "atrás", apenas.

Parabéns... as coisas raras acontecem. O engraçado é que nem se pagava entrada. Anda tudo a dormir...
